Our local Sheriff's Dept. has a limited number of Deputies patroling and with such a large area to cover they could be busy on another call at the time you may need them. That is where the Constable comes in, you can contact the local constable which can respond to you call and handle it just a you local Sheriffs Dept. or . Local Law Enforcement Agency could. If I am elected as Constable I want to institute a new program of security checks that will benifit our local businesses and churches, as well as the citizens of District 1, were they will know that the Constable is acutally out doing what he was elected to do and checking their property. Under this new program a copy of a security check reciept will be left on the main door once a check is complete, a security check consist of walking around the property and checking all doors and windows that could be a point of entry.
If elected I will pass out forms to the local merchants and churches to request patrol of their property, also a card containing a contact number for the Constable as well as other information will be circulated throughout the District. This program was found on Constable Scott Enlow's website and is a great way for a Constable to stay in touch with the community and its citizens and also proves that the elected constable is actual out doing the job he was elected to do. Here is a small sample of the reciept, but it will be on bright colored paper to make it visable that someone is keeping an eye on this property.

The program I want to institute is not just limited to business and churches, citizens also can contact me for any reason weither its just to talk or to file a complaint and if they would like security patrols in their area or around their property all they need to do is contact me. A citizen can request patrol of their house if they are on vaction or may be out of town for any reason, so they can be sure their house is being watched. This is one of the plans I hope to bring to the citizens of Jones Co. District 1 if I am elected to Constable.
